Echo Privacy Policy

Echo is designed as a lightweight voice memo app. This policy explains what information may be used when you use Echo.

1. Core app behavior

Echo stores your memos locally on your device. Audio recordings, summaries, tags, and memo metadata are intended to stay on-device unless you explicitly share content or a connected service requires limited data for billing or platform features.

2. Permissions

• Microphone: used to record voice memos.
• Speech Recognition: used to convert spoken audio into text on supported devices.
• Calendar: optional, used to connect a memo to relevant schedule context when you allow it.

3. Billing and third-party services

If Echo offers paid features, billing may be handled through Apple In-App Purchase and a billing platform such as RevenueCat. Those services may process limited account, purchase, entitlement, and diagnostic information necessary to provide subscriptions and restore purchases.

4. What Echo does not do by default

• Echo does not require account signup for basic use.
• Echo does not upload your local memo content to a separate Echo cloud by default.
• Echo does not publicly share your content.

5. Data retention

Local memo data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. If a third-party billing service is used, that provider may retain purchase-related records according to its own policies.

6. Your choices

• You can delete memos inside the app.
• You can decline optional permissions.
• You can remove the app to remove local app storage from your device.
